Students can move up through levels 1, 2 and 3, followed by Pre-Bronze, Bronze and beyond. At the Pre-Bronze level, we add Quickstep and Samba! WEDDING DANCE PREPARATION
The Wedding Reception traditionally includes a solo dance for the newly married couple. This aspect of your special day deserves as much attention to detail as the ceremony, attire and banquet, yet is often overlooked with the result that the newly married couple simply do the uninspiring “high school prom night hug & sway”. We do a great deal of wedding dance preparation and would be pleased to assist you. We can choreograph a beautiful routine to your chosen piece of music so that you will feel confident approaching the dance floor and your presentation will be polished, enjoyable and memorable. Plus, your new-found ballroom dance skills will lay the foundation for an activity that you can enjoy together for the rest of your lives.
You will get so much more out of your dance classes if you are able to find a little time to practice in between to keep your dancing skills refresh and help you retain what you are working on in class. Plus they are a great opportunity to enjoy a social night out with others in the ballroom dance community and spend some time with your friends (or make new ones!). We offer the following practice session opportunities:
Tuesdays, weekly, Lochside Elementary School gym, 1145 Royal Oak Dr., 7:15 – 8:30, $7 per person single drop-in or a package of 10 for $60 Fridays, weekly, Keating Elementary School gym, 6843 Central Saanich Rd., 7:15 – 8:30, $7 per person single drop-in or a package of 10 for $60 Saturdays, monthly, The Hub at Cowichan Station, 2375 Koksilah Rd., 7:15 – 8:45, $8 per person single drop in or a package of 10 for $70 NOTE – the next practice session at The Hub is scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd
We are available for private lessons and can help you in the following situations:
– you require extra help with the material you are learning in group class (perhaps you have missed a class or two) – – you would like to learn a particular dance, work on your technique, or add to your repertoire – – you and a group of friends would like to set up your own small group class convenient for your needs and schedule – – you have a special event approaching which will feature social dancing, such as a cruise, party or wedding –
